Replace collapsing retaining wall
Pittwater Home Improvements were brought in to replace a crumbling sanstone retaining wall. We removed the old wall, dug a new footing, filled it with concrete, laid ag pipes, then rebuilt the wall with blocks. a membrane was then added before we back-filled with blue metal and soil. The project came in under budget.
Deck replacement
In this situation a deck had been incorrectly constructed directly onto the damp ground. It had warped and become very unsightly very quickly. Pittwater Home Improvements was brought in to remove existing deck and replace. Footings were poured, a substructure created incorporating a large planter box. New gas lines were run for the BBQ, as well as electrics for garden lighting.
Repair broken driveway and pathway
Pittwater Home Improvements were brought in to repair cracked driveway and make good an existing side path, which had been repaired many times. The solution was to tile the pathway and repair then paint the driveway. Price came in as quoted.
Roof replacement
Roof leaks are a constant source of stress and frustration. Pittwater Home Improvements organised a new roof, incorporating a solar panel setup. Old water damaged ceilings were replaced and painted as well as new guttering installed.
Leaking door and window set
Water pouring through a kitchen ceiling is never ideal. Pittwater Home Improvements were brought in to trace the leak and ultimatelyrepair the situation. The upstairs door set turned out to be the culprit as it had been installed without flashings. We flashed the doorset and replaced the window/door architraves, then colour matched the paint to existing.
Kitchen and dining room renovation
Pittwater home improvements was referred to Ms King to renovate her existing kitchen and dining area.
On inspection of the propose job we suggested a few changes to the idea that she had been given previously.
The original scope of works was to remove a single brick non-loading rendered wall with a doorway into the existing kitchen, it was suggested that a steel post was installed to conceal the light switch for the kitchen and also gave my client peace of mind regarding supporting the concrete floor above.
After consulting closely with the engineer, the kitchen company and also my client we came up with a new idea which would enhance the effect my client was looking for and we created an open plan kitchen dining area which completely changed the area into one.
We project managed all companies, trades and engineers involved with the renovation to give our client peace of mind and a stress free build.
